Doberman Dog Cares For An Orphaned Kitten As One Of Her Own
Brittany Callan, who lives in Geneseo, New York, with her family, discovered a little cat that had evidently been abandoned by her mother near her husband’s workplace. The woman chose to take the cat home without hesitation, despite the fact that she had no idea that her 4-year-old Doberman breed companion, Ruby, would be adopted almost immediately.
Her loving mother’s heart never shied away from feeding the little orphaned cat who sorely needed a mother’s warmth, and the darling dog is nursing a litter of six beautiful puppies that were born just a few weeks ago.
According to Brittany, who spoke to USA TODAY,
“Anything was designed for her to be a mother to.”
The family has always had other creatures at home, such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and turtles, and Ruby has always treated them with great regard and cared for them. Of course, Ramblin Rose, as the newest kitten was dubbed, was no exception.
The kitten was quickly welcomed as her own, and she proceeded to feed and care for it like she would her other kids; she is a sweetheart.
After a few more weeks, the young kitten will be cared for by its canine mother, who will ensure that it gets the nutrition it needs to grow healthily. Brittany has, of course, supplemented her breast milk diet with kitten formula bottles.
The kitten’s growth appears to be aided by the dual technique he is receiving. Ramblin Rose has grown from 4.37 ounces to 7.27 ounces in a short period of time. Ruby, for one, does more than just feed the kitten; she makes it a point to stay by his side and keep him safe, along with the rest of her litter.
