Police Officer Welcomes Abandoned Pit Bull Puppy Into His Family
In early January, Mount Laurel Police Officer Matthew O’Hanlon of the Mount Laurel Police Department in New Jersey chose to adopt an abandoned pit bull puppy from a nearby industrial area. When his comrades discovered him, the cute little dog, whom the officer named Thor, had a wound on his head.
Thor was taken to the Burlington County Animal Shelter, where he would be treated and his puppy would be cared for. Officer Matthew, on the other hand, had made up his mind and wanted to take it home. The cop claims that his last dog was a pit bull and promises that, despite their negative reputation, pit bulls are loving friends.
The Mount Laurel Police Department requested his prospective family to come forward via social media, but no one responded.
Because the puppy was not microchipped, shelter workers were unable to locate the family.
Officer O’Hanlon was on hand to transport the 3-month-old puppy to the Animal Shelter, but it didn’t take him long to decide to adopt Thor.
