Dog Saved From A Flood Is Adopted By His Rescuers

Hurricane Eta’s strong rains have wreaked havoc on southern Mexico, affecting over 300,000 people, leaving hundreds missing and dozens dead. The floods triggered by this natural occurrence have not been observed in the Tabasco region in more than 50 years.

The severe storms have gone, but the damage and its consequences remain, thus the Mexican Navy’s Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR) is working to assist.

SEMAR remained unwavering in its rescue mission, exploring the flooded streets of Villahermosa for those in desperate need of assistance.

When they patrolled the flooded region by boat and discovered the sad animal in need of assistance, you can see it in the video. He was terrified and was clinging to a metal window frame of a home with his front paws to avoid drowning.

The dog was apparently clinging to his family’s house, and he was expecting to locate them again. Although the water had covered half of his body and the situation appeared hopeless, one of the rescuers stroked his head and assisted him into the boat.

They transported the dog to the SEMAR facility after his rescue and had it examined by a veterinarian. He was still terrified, and he appeared to be emaciated and weak. Seeing this situation made the affected troops cry, but they wanted to help him.

According to TV Azteca, this is not the first time the dog has been saved from the same location. The unfortunate man kept returning in the hopes of reconciling with his family, who resided in the house where he had been rescued.

Unfortunately, no one came to claim him, so he was unable to reconnect with his previous family, but the troops gave him with the required care. The best news is that the brave dog will be adopted by the navy, as numerous troops have shown interest in adopting him.
