Dog Always Gives Her Best Owl Impression So She Can See Her Mother

When Ashleigh Macpherson brought home a puppy named Kiko, she believed it would serve as a distraction during the lockdown. Kiko, a 9-month-old Finnish spitz, must have felt her mother’s need for her, since she won’t allow her out of her sight.

Kiko has taken the phrase “watchdog” to a whole new level, insisting on keeping an eye on her mother even while she is looking in the opposite direction.

Kiko just craned her head back while she slept at first, and her mother didn’t think anything of it. “She’s done that since she was a puppy,” Macpherson told The Dodo. “At the time, I just assumed she was one of those dogs who slept ‘broken.'”

Kiko, on the other hand, began turning her head 180 degrees while she was awake as she grew older.

Kiko would stretch her neck back to gaze at her two dog siblings, but as she grew closer to Macpherson, she began to use her flexibility to observe her mom even though her body was facing the opposite direction.

“I was shocked but thought it was lovely when I first saw her bend her head back to look at me,” Macpherson added. “I thought to myself, ‘She must really want to keep her attention on me.'” And that she must adore me so much that she can’t take her gaze away from me.”Kiko would stretch her neck back to gaze at her two dog siblings, but as she grew closer to Macpherson, she began to use her flexibility to observe her mom even though her body was facing the opposite direction.

Kiko can now do the Exorcist-style “trick” on command — all Macpherson needs to say is “devil.”

Kiko has quickly become the ideal companion for her mother and two dog siblings, rounding up their family.

Macpherson described her as “very lovely and caring.” “She enjoys cuddling and is always eager to be at my side.”

During the COVID epidemic, Kiko’s funny skill and charming demeanor helped to calm her mother’s nerves. And her mother couldn’t be happier for her.

“She took my mind off the distressing news and information that was all over the media,” she stated “According to Macpherson. “That, I believe, is why our relationship is so deep, because she was always there for me during those difficult moments.”
