Little Boy Finds A Puppy And Carries It To Safety In His Backpack

Brazilian 10-year-old Joo Gabriel was returning home from school when he stumbled upon a small life in need of assistance. Joo could not help but notice a lone white puppy along the route.

Joo said to G1:

“I had barely left class when I discovered the dog. He was really chilly and alone, and he appeared to be hungry, which made me sad. I left him there, where he was eating, at the drugstore, which I pass by every day and where I knew he had food and water for stray dogs.

They leave a container with food and water for stray dogs outside the drugstore. Little Joo put the dog in his backpack and drove him there since he believed it to be the safest location.

Unbeknownst to him, a security camera was recording the boy’s touching act of love and kindness.

Although the dog Joao saved is seen in the video tenderly saying farewell, it was not left alone for very long. The full containers are kept outside the drugstore by an animal rescuer named Josiel Pedro Barbosa, who was immediately made aware of the situation by pharmacy staff.

Josiel, who has worked for years taking care of stray dogs in the area, rushed straight to pick up the puppy to take into his care.

Someone offered to adopt the dog after Josiel posted about the incident on social media and asked for assistance in finding the dog a permanent home.

When Joo and his family learned about it, he was already well-known for his bravery, but at that point, his video became viral and has been seen millions of times on Facebook. But the fact that the puppy was secure was what mattered most to Joo.

“I saw that he had been adopted when I stopped by the drugstore the other day. He was overjoyed.
