Dog Wears A Special Suit To Be With Mom During Chemotherapy

Sydnee Geril, 25, of Ocala, Florida, has endured a very trying struggle, and Tulsa, her service dog, has proven to be her biggest source of comfort. Sydnee and Tulsa have been close since they first met, and they continue to fight together while the lady battles the uncommon bone disease Ewing’s sarcoma.

After receiving therapy for nine months following her 2017 diagnosis, she finally entered remission. She has had to confront numerous worries as a result of her illness, but her dog has always been there to comfort her.

Sydnee struggles with a fear of needles that even leads her to faint during chemotherapy sessions, but she always relies on Tulsa for strong emotional support.

Sydnee experienced therapy dogs during her stay in the hospital, and she always found solace in them. Tulsa entered her life when she made the decision to get a dog of her own.

Unfortunately, he learned that his cancer had returned 8 months after leaving the hospital. At that moment, he chose to train Tulsa to be his service dog.

Although it has been challenging and the two-year-old puppy is still learning how to support her mother, she has been a huge help. Sydnee is warned by the dog when she is going to faint by having a paw placed on her leg, giving you time to get ready.

Tulsa was unable to be with her mother throughout treatment because the COVID-19 epidemic damaged her immune system. Sydnee had to avoid spreading disease through Tulsa’s fur.

The woman suffered a severe mental and physical hit as a result of all of this. She was forced to use a wheelchair as a safety measure in case she passed out, but more significantly, she missed her companion.

Shed Defender, a stretchable, machine-washable suit made to be worn to conceal the dog’s fur, was fortunately discovered by Sydnee at the end of May. It was a complete success, allowing Tulsa to accompany her mother to the hospital.
