Security Guard Is Praised For Protecting A Dog With An Umbrella In The Rain
A supermarket security guard in Giffnock, Scotland (UK), was honored for a heroic act. Ethan Dearman, a man working outside the stores, was spotted placing an umbrella over a dog outside the grocers to shelter him from the rain.
Mel Gracie, a tattoo artist from Glasgow who happened to be nearby, decided to capture the man’s activity and shared it on Twitter with the caption:
Give this security guard from @Morrisons a wave of credit for keeping this wonderful boy dry. You never know how dogs feel when it’s raining.
The post received a lot of attention and rapidly picked up over 19,000 retweets and 146,000 likes. Users on the social media platform complimented the guard’s behavior with the golden retriever called Freddy, saying he deserved kudos for his kind attitude to the pet.

According to a spokesman for Morrisons grocery company, LADbible:
“We’ve given out 9,000 Morrisons umbrellas to keep our clients and their pets dry throughout this rainy week. It’s encouraging to see that it’s already taking place in our Giffnock shop.”
When Ethan saw her photo and saw how well it had gone viral, he shared and commented on it on Twitter:
“I didn’t expect to get so viral on Twitter. I knew I was making people laugh, but this is a whole other level lol.”
