Sick Dog At A Shelter Is Completely Transformed With A Little Love

A ill and fearful dog that arrived at an animal shelter in Texas with his sister had no chance of life, but with their love, he was able to convert into a beautiful canine.

The four-month-old German shepherd mix was quite underweight when he arrived at the shelter, with patches of fur gone, and he didn’t want anybody near him.

Despite this, the Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue team regarded Blue and his sister Roxanne as having a lot of promise. As a result, they decided to save them both, give them with the required medical care, and eventually locate them a new home in Virginia.

However, before taking the puppies to their new home, the two went to a local veterinarian hospital for a routine check-up. The vet discovered something extremely concerning: Blue was infected with parvovirus, a lethal illness that affects dogs’ intestines.

If the condition is not treated promptly with the appropriate treatments, it nearly invariably proves deadly to the animals affected.

The rescue center’s co-founder, Kaitlin Vázquez, told The Dodo:

“There was a time when he was clearly extremely unwell, and we weren’t sure if he’d survive it.”

Despite the fact that Roxanne had shared a kennel with her brother, she had escaped infection and was sent to Virginia.

She was sent to a foster family when she arrived at her new location for special attention and care. Blue, on the other hand, had to stay in the hospital for nearly a month, but he eventually healed and was allowed to be moved.

When Julia Downer, an animal enthusiast and foster volunteer, learned about the dog, she offered to foster him right away.

Julia expressed herself as follows:

“Her sweet tiny face drew me in.” I asked them to let me raise Blue because Roxanne already had a home.”

The woman’s request was approved by the shelter, but when Blue arrived in her new home, she knew it would be difficult.

Blue was entirely closed, as if he didn’t know how to be a dog, and he kept his distance from everyone, according to the volunteer. The small puppy didn’t want anyone to touch him, including Julia, and spent much of the day curled up in a corner of the home.
