Kind Woman Saves A Husky Forced To Breed And Changes Her Life

Maya is a Husky dog that endured a life of misery and fear for many years, witnessing the worst of humans until she was forced to breed in a pet farm in Goiânia, Brazil, five years ago. Maya was already paralyzed as a result of the heinous treatment and settings under which she was discovered.

Her health issues were already irreparable, and she was no longer useful to the puppy factory, so they decided to sacrifice her. But Silvia Rayssa stepped in just in time to save Maya, giving her a second shot at a happy life that would cure not only her body but also her soul’s scars.

The lady explains:

“He didn’t exist, he didn’t live.” My heart shouted out for a ‘large and unique animal’ that day, and I still remember it clearly. I’ll never be able to put into words how I felt in my spirit after that.

Maya was quite frail and her health was very ill for the first 48 hours following her rescue, but she had a great determination to live in her eyes, and Silvia never left her side.

Silvia continued:

“At first, Maya was a little concerned, but who could blame her? She had never experienced a caress, nor had she ever known the love of a family. She had only known a cold and dark cage for the previous 5 years of her existence. She had only experienced the worst aspects of human life.

Maya began a protracted therapy after overcoming the initial hurdle in her health; they made many journeys to veterinary hospitals, but the damage to her body was already permanent, and she would never walk again. She had to begin the process of mental health recovery as well.

Maya’s adoptive mother was heartbroken to learn that she had become a paraplegic as a result of her ordeal, and she was determined to repair the past and give Maya a future full of love and good memories.

Maya began her recuperation, and one of her first new hurdles was adjusting to her wheelchair. She has been free to roam anywhere she wants since she learned to use it, and she now likes walking and running like any other dog.
