Dog Was Alone In The Woods Until This Kind Man Found Her

Outside of Sao Paulo, Brazil, a dog was alone in the wild in deplorable conditions. When Alessandro Desco was contacted to aid the pit bull more than 5 months ago, he had no idea the conditions he would find him in.

Alessandro has two children and six dogs, and he operates an NGO called “Ales Pits Team,” whose major goal is to rescue street animals, particularly pitbulls. According to Bored Panda, he has helped countless animals find homes.

When the guy discovered this small dog, whom he named Athenea, she appeared to have been abandoned in the woods, with a large rotting gash on her forehead and bulging eyes.

The man immediately went to a veterinary facility after discovering her.

His condition alarmed the veterinarians. Her eyes were totally closed, and maggots were flowing out of the incision on her forehead. Her organs were the main source of concern; the condition was extremely dangerous.

Athenea was admitted to the hospital and had an x-ray and an ultrasound. The vets worked to extract the larvae from her forehead, and after some time and the appropriate medical attention, the dog began to react and stood up.

Athenea is different today; her face is gentle and full of love, and her eyes sparkle. She is now a joyful and energetic dog, and the horrible history she had to endure is only a distant memory.

Alessandro now wants to find her a home where she may receive the affection she deserves. Although it appeared that Athenea would not survive, Alessandro’s perseverance and medical attention spared this adorable pit bull’s life.

This guy was able to radically transform the lives of this and many other creatures that now have a home and a second opportunity. Without a doubt, the case of Athenea demonstrates that despite the challenges, a fresh beginning is always possible.
