In it, the kind and lovely Gunner arrives, licking and kissing his greatest aquatic companion. The post has received 1.3 million thumbs up in less than a week.

Delta and Gunner have been great buddies since they were pups, according to the photo that went viral. Gunner is now seven years old, and Delta is ten.

The Dolphin Research Center in Florida, where the latter is housed, also posted a cute snapshot of the couple. Gunner was only eight weeks old when he was kidnapped, and Delta was only four.
