A Sick, Hairless Dog That Was Wandering The Streets, Turns Into An Adorable, Fluffy And Happy Dog

Mikita is a hairless dog who lived on the streets, more specifically on a reservation in South Dakota. When a Lightshine Canine rescuer first discovered her, her situation was concerning since her skin was too red, as if it were flesh, she was too hungry, and she couldn’t walk.

Because Mikita was missing so much hair at the time, the man who rescued her couldn’t even explain what breed of dog she was. A volunteer with Happy Tails Rescue chose to foster the dog and started treating her for mange.

Gradually, strands of gray and white hair began to emerge around her body, and they realized she was a Husky dog, despite the fact that she still had a long way to go.

When Jessi Sova learnt about Mikita’s story, she had been looking for a partner for her rescued Husky dog for several days. Jessi came across a Facebook post about Mikita’s dilemma while searching the internet and felt she had to see her straight immediately.

According to Jessi, who spoke to The Dodo,

“I received my application for adoption approval and set up a meeting.” She was a tiny little creature with the loveliest little face. My kid and I both fell in love with her when we met her ».

The dog’s fortunes appeared to turn when a woman agreed to adopt her and give her a forever home, but she still faced a struggle. Mikita’s recovery was sluggish, but Jessi noticed something was wrong with her back because she wasn’t moving well.

Mikita’s expression on her little face suggested that anytime she wanted to play or it was time to go to bed, it was a very painful event for her.

Jessi would wake up multiple times a night, wanting to know what she needed. It was like having a baby in the house.

Jessie had this to say:

“I awoke one night to her screaming because she couldn’t get her rear legs under her to stand up. We were both taken to the emergency vet by a buddy.”

Mikita was diagnosed with discoenpondylitis, an uncommon infection that affects the vertebrae of animals, after completing several medical procedures. The dog began antibiotic treatment, and nothing could stop her from becoming a joyful animal from that point forward.

His lovely gray and white fur continued to grow at a rapid rate, and he was always wanting to have fun and play with his family, as it should have been.

Jessie continued:

“His first port of call was the emergency veterinarian.”

His back no longer bends as much, and he moves considerably better, despite the fact that it took him some time to gain strength and stamina.

Every day, her fur grows longer, but Jessi claims that it hasn’t fully emerged yet, so it will be fluffier.

The woman considers herself fortunate to have Mikita in her life, and the dog is overjoyed to learn how much they adore her.
