Professional Soccer Players Onto The Field With Shelter Dogs In Need Of Homes

When the Russian Zenit soccer club sought to promote awareness for animal shelters and pet adoption, they attempted to think of the best method to do it – and they were completely successful.

Instead of filming films or doing something else to raise awareness about their cause, the organization chose to do something more concrete. They partnered with a few local shelters, who sent them a number of dogs in need of homes, and the players came out onto the field at the start of a game, each holding a gorgeous shelter puppy.

Soccer players bringing gorgeous pups in need of loving forever homes and then melting? There has never been anything more adorable.

The dogs were all different sizes and fluffiness, and while some of them appeared perplexed, they were all pleased to get some hugs no matter where they were.

Everything about it was wonderful, from the dogs themselves to the players’ expressions as they handled them. There hasn’t yet been discovered a better approach to promote pet adoption than this.
