Alice Garrido Gallardo’s father, believe it or not, originally said he didn’t want another dog at all, but now he exemplifies what it means to be a proud pet parent.
To prove that, he and his dog, Jean Grey, have the sweetest bedtime routine.
Jean Grey began her existence as a stray and was saved by a friend of Gallardo’s. When Gallardo recommended that they adopt her, her father was first opposed to the idea.
Gallardo told The Dodo, “We had lost our old dog and he didn’t want to acquire another one anytime soon.” “He was still in a state of grieving.”
Gallardo, on the other hand, remained undeterred. She decided to set up a meeting between Jean Grey and her dad. And that turned out to be true:
Gallardo said, “He fell in love the day I took her home.”
His love for the dog he didn’t want got stronger over time, and he discovered the most amazing method to express it.
Gallardo said, “He started putting her to bed every night.”

Gallardo’s father now tucks Jean Grey into bed every night, placing a pillow under her head and a toy close by.
“It warms my heart to see them, especially my dad, who is so caring and affectionate,” Gallardo added. “It’s wonderful to see them, because I know how much they adore one other.”
